- Professors, lecturers, and teaching
assistants (TAs) can check out videos for playback in their course.
- Professors, lecturers, and teaching assistants (TAs) can check out up to five tapes for a period of seven days.
- Professors, lecturers, and teaching assistants (TAs) sign an agreement form, when picking up tapes, that has this policy written at the bottom of the form.
- Videotapes/DVDs are renewable by clients through walk-in, call-in ext. 3518, or e-mailing fvo@id.ucsb.edu. Renewals are for a one-week period and can be renewed throughout the quarter.
- All tapes are due back at Television Services/Film and Video ordering by the end of the quarter.
- Returnees with overdue tapes/DVDs are fined a $3.00 fee per tape, per day late.
- Late fees are charged to the faculty member's department, and it is the faculty member's responsibility to inform their department of this charge.
- Television Services will attempt to contact the Faculty member as a courtesy regarding a past due tape, but please keep in mind that it is not our responsibility to remind faculty when tapes are due.
- Lost or damaged tapes will be replaced by Television Services but will be charged to the Faculty member's department.
- When billing for an overdue tape, Television Services will contact the faculty member and their MSO or financial personnel, within their department, to request a recharge number and to inform them of the reason for this billing.
